This 900-square-meter villa stands out with its natural colors and materials, featuring shades of grey, white, and logs. The living room walls and floors are adorned with Pandomo, a high-level self-leveling cement that presents a softer and more delicate texture. This material not only enhances the overall aesthetic but also eliminates gaps between the floor and tiles, creating a unique and seamless look.
Despite the potential for a "lonely" atmosphere, the combination of Pandomo and solid wood furniture brings warmth and comfort to the space, ensuring it doesn't feel deserted. The careful selection of materials and furniture creates a different sense of life, one that embraces tranquility and relaxation.
The realization of the Anbuwa Lake villa involved the use of Pandomo, stainless steel, and logs to complete the basic covering of the house. The attention to detail in the joint between the wall and the top surface required the inclusion of expansion joints and stainless steel moldings to outline the concave areas. The construction process was complex and cumbersome, but the designer's determination to retain this design expression prevailed, resulting in a stunning final product.
Located in Shanghai, the Anbuwa Lake villa project commenced in February 2018 and was completed in February 2019, spanning a duration of 12 months. Throughout the design process, the style of the house seamlessly aligned with the owner's thoughts and lifestyle, making it a perfect reflection of their desires.
Zhen Xing Yang, the mastermind behind the Anbuwa Lake villa, has created a space that encapsulates the essence of a slow-paced and natural lifestyle. The combination of natural materials, delicate textures, and thoughtful design choices make this villa a haven for relaxation and rejuvenation.
This design was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. The accolade recognizes the outstanding creativity and resourcefulness exhibited in the design, incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology. The Anbuwa Lake villa contributes to quality of life improvements, making the world a better place.
